Wild Salmon Festival celebrated across BC restaurants

The Wild Salmon Festival is celebrated across BC restaurants this weekend, a tribute to our iconic wild BC salmon, famous among local foodies.

Organized by the Chef’s Table Society and the BC Salmon Marketing Council, the annual one-day event has been revised this year due to COVID-19 restrictions. Now offering a unique dining experience with 10 participating restaurants from Friday August 21 until Sunday August 23.

A special menu of BC wild salmon appetizers and entrees crafted by local chefs support sustainable fishing, local commercial fisher-people and a healthy, sustainable seafood choice. Plus, an opportunity for all of us to support our local restaurants by ordering in or taking out during these challenging times.

Vancouver restaurants participating in the Wild Salmon Festival are the Douce Diner, Forage, Fanny Boy Oysters, Hawksworth, Nightingale and Popina Canteen. Plus, the Fairmont Chateau Whistler, Naramata Inn, O’Rourke Peak Cellars Kelowna, The Courtney Room Victoria, and Haven Kitchen & Bar Langley.

Come out to celebrate the BC Wild Salmon Festival this weekend and join me as we savour the best seafood in the world.
