Wickaninnish Inn honoured with two Michelin Keys

The highly anticipated Michelin Guide 2024 has revealed its new hotel rating system, called the Michelin Keys. The Wickaninnish Inn in Tofino, British Columbia, is proud to announce that it has been awarded two Michelin Keys.

As one of my favourite hotels on Vancouver Island, the Wickaninnish Inn is recognized among an exclusive group of hotels acknowledged for providing exceptional guest experiences through outstanding service, design, and attention to detail.

The prestigious Michelin Guide Keys are crafted to assist travellers in identifying hotels that offer unparalleled hospitality. Embracing the same exacting standards that have cemented the Michelin Guide as a gold standard for restaurant ratings, this updated rating system spotlights hotels that stand out in delivering top-notch service, captivating design aesthetics, unique personality, and character, all of which significantly enhance the guest experience. The award of two Michelin Keys unequivocally underscores the Wickaninnish Inn’s unwavering dedication to blending rustic elegance, sustainability, and an exceptional guest experience.

Charles McDiarmid, Maître de Maison of Wickaninnish Inn, shared his gratitude for this recognition: “We are deeply honoured to be among the first recipients of the Michelin Keys in Canada. It’s a testament to the dedication, passion, and commitment to unforgettable guest experiences that each member of the Wickaninnish Inn team demonstrates daily. This recognition inspires us to continue elevating our service and sustainability efforts. We would like to congratulate our fellow Canadian Relais & Châteaux properties also honoured by Michelin Guide 2024: Fogo Island Inn with 3 Keys, Manoir Hovey and Auberge Saint-Antoine with 2 Keys, Post Hotel & Spa and Wedgewood Hotel with 1 Key.”
