Hidden away in their Paris family home sat a large…
Designer Jessie Liu with her imaginative bright colors and unique patterns made for an artistic spring summer 2015 runway show under the tents at Vancouver Fashion Week.
Interestingly, Jessie Liu fashion label Simple Pair Fashion Design is based in San Francisco where I can see this collection being part of Bay area fashion scene. On display was a complete ensemble of jackets, skirts and pants made up of abstract artwork prints on silks.
At Vancouver Fashion Week we saw various shapes and depths of color which seem to come alive as the models walked down the runway. I especially admired the colorful abstract images on blouses, anchored with solid white or bold color shorts.
The silhouette was shapely, not tight for a relaxed style. Her tailoring was excellent and if you take the pieces individually, any women could easily add it to their wardrobe for next season.
Jessie Liu recently graduated from the Academy of Art University (AAU), San Francisco with a Master in Fine Art. Most recently, her graduation collection was jury-selected to be shown at the 2012 Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week. Where she received best young designer’s award from Arts Thread/WGSN and was sponsored to present her collection in the Who’s Next show in Pairs, France.
A former resident of Toronto with a background in finance, Jessie Liu creativity has re-imagine spring summer fashion for the confident women.
